SuperBike's supercharged project B-King hits 268bhp at the tyre ... Scroll down for the full story

We've just had a pretty excited Sean Mills on the phone from Big CC Racing, to tell us that our supercharged project B-King is making proper power on the dyno.

Sean's been working hard on the fuelling for a few days, and the latest figures are good - as in 268bhp at the rear Bridgestone. That peak power figure is being produced just before the redline at about 10,500rpm - the linear nature of a supercharger's boost production means the faster you go, the more it boosts. Boost pressure at peak is around 10psi - a nice figure for a street supercharger setup. It's torquey too(!) - as in 138ft-lb.

Here's the dyno curve from the run. Isn't a nice straight line? I'm hoping the lack of bumps and lumps will mean it shouldn't be too scary to ride. Even with 100bhp over stock.

Sean has a few tiny niggles left to sort. But he reckons we might be able to ride it next week. Eek!
